BIOGRAPHY 

Ela Raczkowski (12) has been performing for several years, singing mostly classical repertoire. At the age of 9 she has recorded an album with Saint Gerard Majella Children’s Choir, featuring her solo of “Ave Maria” by Bach – Gounod. Ela has enjoyed music since her early childhood, taking lessons from Barbara Miluk, then Soprano Ewa Lewandowska. For the past two years, Ela has been studying voice under the direction of Soprano Marianna Benedict.
In 2012 – 2014 Ela performed in a series of concerts at the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York, as part of the “Master and Student” program, to which she was selected as one of the youngest artists. She also performed at numerous concerts and fundraising events in New York and on Long Island, to help support worthy causes, such as raising funds for a surgery to save the eyesight of a little boy.
In 2013 Ela was selected to perform at the AMTL Winter Musicale at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she sung Puccini’s “Musetta’s Waltz”. In the same year she was also featured as a young vocalist at a concert of a known jazz musician – Krzysztof Medyna on Long Island, where she sang Gershwin’s “Summertime” as a duet with her sister Julia.
In April 2014, Ela performed at a concert commemorating the 4th anniversary of the Polish President’s plane crash in Russia, as part of a ceremony attended by families of the victims, members of the U.S. Congress, members of the Polish Parliament, and a delegation of scientists, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Her other notable performances this year included a concert in honor of Pope John Paul II in New York, and an event organized by Nina Polan’s Polish Theater Institute in the U.S.
