Douglas Brett,  Musical Director
BIOGRAPHY 

Douglas Brett, Musical Director, Pianist, is an active educator, choir director, accompanist and piano teacher. He is currently the choral director at Carle Place High School where he directs the school’s five choirs as well as prepares the singers and plays piano for the semi-annual musicals. Douglas also teaches piano at the Suffolk County Community College and teaches private piano lessons at his home in Commack, New York.

Douglas has his B.M. and M.M. from Manhattan School of Music and a Ph.D. from NYU in classical piano performance. He has served on the faculties at Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, Saint Ann’s School for the Gifted, Greenwich House Music School, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, St. Augustine School of the Arts, and the National Dance Institute. After graduating from Manhattan School of Music, Douglas spent 15 years as a professional musician and educator in New York City. Living in Commack since 1997, he likes to spend his free time at home enjoying his family.
