BIOGRAPHY 

Candis Alek, soprano, received her B.F.A. from C.W. Post University in vocal performance and has toured Europe with festival ensembles as their soloist. Candis has sung at Carnegie Hall, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and studied with LeAnn Overton(Metropolitan Opera), Ruth Golden(NYC Opera), Richard Crittenden(Washington Civic Opera) and currently with Myrna Bismarck(Bellas Artes Opera). She was featured as the soloist for the world premiere of Dies Magna, and in I’ll Take Romance at the Duplex in NYC. Previous roles include Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Julie in Some Enchanted Evening, Gueniviere in Camelot and several performances as a soloist in Carmina Burana. When not singing, Candis works as a CPA and travels the world with her husband Michael.
